EuroHPC Summit

The EuroHPC Summit 2023 took place from 20-23 March 2023 at the Clarion Hotel Post in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

Almost 600 people attended the Summit, with over 480 participants joining us in person. Members from all areas of the European HPC community, from researchers to industry to decision-makers, congregated at the Summit to share in discussions about the state of play of European HPC, its achievements and European priorities going forwards. Exascale computing and its implications for the European industry, advances in quantum computing, considerations of energy efficiency and sustainability in HPC, and many other topics were on the agenda. 

Education in HPC was also highlighted at the Summit, in particular with the presence of the first cohort of EUMaster4HPC students attending the event as HPC Ambassadors, providing organisational support as well as manning the first edition of the EuroHPC Demo Lab, an immersive interactive space where the HPC Ambassadors could connect to and run live demos on the operational EuroHPC supercomputers. 

A combination of live-streamed Plenary sessions and smaller, offline parallel sessions allowed for a variety of exchanges, from high-level, broad-line presentations to more intimate and interactive discussions.
